Abstract

Maintaining ornamental plants is a hobby for some people or as a side activity besides working, the existence of these ornamental plants makes the atmosphere of the house more attractive, cool and comfortable. Moreover, ornamental plants also play a role in reducing air pollution which makes this kind of plant suitable for planting in urban areas. However, the lack of land for planting is an obstacle that must be overcome, especially in urban areas, where most of the land has been used for industrial land and high-rise buildings. Ornamental plants, especially those that are rare, beautiful and not cheap are plants that tend to have special needs and care that must be maintained and monitored regularly by the owner. So technology is needed that functions to maintain plants automatically that can control and monitor plants remotely using an Android smartphone such as watering plants, detecting altitude and void water tanks, turning on or turning off the LED light, knowing the temperature and humidity of the air around the plant. This system can be operated with auto or manual mode on the Android application. If you turn on auto mode, the system works based on sensor readings, and will display the status and value of each reading of each sensor. When turning on manual mode, it can only execute commands to turn on or turn off the plant watering pump and LED grow light. Based on the results of the test, the soil moisture sensor will be worth 1 if the humidity will cause the pump to stop working and will be 0 if dry will cause the pump to work, while the average error percentage of the ultrasonic sensor is 3.58%, the percentage difference in plant growth with LED light and sunlight reached 45%, the percentage of error from the measurement of temperature was 1.72% and humidity was 8.61%, this proves that at least the percentage error of sensor readings, the soil moisture, ultrasonic, LDR and DHT22 sensors are good for application on the device Keywords: Wemos, Soil Moisture Sensor, Ultrasonic Sensor, Light Intensity Sensor, DHT22, Android, automatic systems. Mempertahankan tanaman hias merupakan hobi bagi sebagian orang atau sebagai aktivitas sampingan selain bekerja, keberadaan tanaman hias ini membuat suasana rumah menjadi lebih menarik, sejuk dan nyaman. Apalagi tanaman hias juga memainkan peran dalam mengurangi polusi udara yang membuat tanaman semacam ini cocok untuk ditanam di daerah perkotaan. Namun, kurangnya lahan untuk penanaman menjadi kendala yang harus bisa diatasi, terutama di daerah perkotaan, yang sebagian besar lahannya telah digunakan untuk lahan industri dan gedung tinggi. Tanaman hias, terutama yang langka, indah dan tidak murah merupakan tanaman yang cenderung memiliki kebutuhan dan perawatan khusus yang harus dijaga dan dipantau secara teratur oleh pemiliknya. Maka diperlukan teknologi yang berfungsi pemeliharaan tanaman secara otomatis yang dapat mengendalikan dan memantau tanaman dari jarak jauh menggunakan smartphone android seperti penyiram tanaman, pendeteksi jarak ketinggian dan kekosongan tangki air, menyalakan atau mematikan cahaya LED, mengetahui suhu dan kelembaban udara sekitar tanaman. Sistem ini dapat dioperasikan dengan mode auto atau manual pada aplikasi android. Jika menyalakan mode auto, maka sistem bekerja berdasarkan pembacaan sensor, dan akan menampilkan status serta nilai pada setiap pembacaan masing-masing sensor. Apabila menyalakan mode manual maka hanya dapat melakukan perintah menyalakan atau mematikan pompa air penyiraman tanaman dan LED grow light. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian, sensor kelembaban tanah akan bernilai 1 jika lembab akan menyebabkan pompa berhenti bekerja dan akan bernilai 0 jika kering akan menyebabkan pompa bekerja, sedangkan persentase kesalahan rata-rata sensor ultrasonic adalah 3.58%, persentase selisih pertumbuhan tanaman dengan sinar LED dan cahaya matahari mencapai 45 %, persentase kesalahan dari pengukuran suhu sebesar 1.72% dan kelembaban sebesar 8.61 %, hal ini membuktikan dengan sedikitnya kesalahan persentase pembacaan sensor, maka sensor soil moisture, ultrasonic, LDR dan DHT22 ini baik untuk di aplikasikan pada alat yang dibuat.
