Abstract

Inspection program is important in oil and gas processing industry because equipment damage leads to failures it will have a high potential for the risk of fire, explosion and release of dangerous fluids into the environment, and may stop production activities due to equipment repairs. Risk – Based Inspection (RBI) is one of the methods of inspection that has developed currently in managing the inspection program on pressurized equipment. The RBI method using in this final paper is semi-quantitative based on API RP 581 Third Edition, 2016. The RBI analysis is conducted to determined risk ranking based on the calculation of Probability of Failure (PoF) and Consequence of Failure (CoF), next inspection schedule, scope and inspection techniques that are suitable to be applied to the pressure vessel that is fuel gas filter separator. The result RBI analysis and calculations showed that the probability of failure of this equipment is in category 1 and the consequence of failure is in category B, the risk level of fuel gas filter separator has a low risk level. Based on that category, the risk level of this equipment is low-risk. The next external inspection schedule is determined on 6th October 2013, and the internal/onstream inspection schedule is determined on 6th October 2018. NDT techniques applied to this equipment are NDT Ultrasonic Test (UT) thickness measurements; NDT UT flaw detection/scanning, NDT Magnetic Test (MT / MPI), and visual inspection. Keywords: RBI, inspection , PoF, CoF, risk, pressure vessel Program inspeksi merupakan hal yang penting pada industri pengolahan minyak dan gas, karena kerusakan alat yang mengakibatkan kegagalan akan berpotensi tinggi terhadap risiko kebakaran, ledakan dan pelepasan fluida berbahaya ke lingkungan, serta dapat menghentikan produksi akibat perbaikan peralatan. Inspeksi berbasis risiko (RBI) adalah salah satu metode inspeksi yang telah berkembang saat ini dalam mengelola program inspeksi pada peralatan bertekanan. Metode RBI yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah semi – kuantitatif dengan mengacu pada API RP 581 Edisi 3, 2016. Analisis RBI dilakukan untuk menentukan tingkat risiko berdasarkan perhitungan kemungkinan kegagalan (PoF) dan konsekuensi kegagalan (CoF), jadwal inspeksi selanjutnya, ruang lingkup dan teknik inspeksi yang sesuai untuk diterapkan terhadap bejana tekan yaitu fuel gas filter separator. Dari hasil analisis dan perhitungan RBI menunjukkan bahwa kemungkinan kegagalan alat ini berada pada kategori 1 dan konsekuensi kegagalannya berada pada kategori B. Berdasarkan kategori tersebut, tingkat risiko alat ini berada pada tingkat risiko rendah. Jadwal inspeksi eksternal ditentukan pada tanggal 6 Oktober 2013 dan inspeksi internal/onstream ditentukan pada tanggal 6 Oktober 2018. Teknik NDT yang diterapkan untuk alat ini yaitu NDT Ultrasonic Test (UT) thickness meassurement, NDT UT flaw detection/scanning, NDT Magnetic Test (MT/MPI), dan inspeksi visual.
