Abstract
This line balance is used to get an assembly line that meets a certain production level. Thus the line balancing must be done with the right method so as to produce output in the form of the best balance of the line. The ultimate goal in line balance is to maximize the speed at each work station so that high work efficiency is achieved at each work station. Using the existing Line Balancing Method, Positional Weight (RPW), Largest Candidate Rule (LCR), and Killbridge and Wester methods, we can design the right work station for track balance by calculating production speed. The initial conditions of production line of dry sample of WF3 product consist of 9 workstations with poorly Effective Line Effeciency that is 71.11%, Idle Time (ID) 1141.19 second, balance delay 28.89%, Smoothess Index 433.72, and production capacity 57 pack/day. Based on production line balance analysis with Positional Weight (RPW) method, the value of Line Effeciency is better that 82.23%, Idle Time (ID) 606.88 seconds, Balance Delay (BD) 17.77%, Smoothess Index (SI) 283.03 and production capacity of 59 pac /day. The ideal number of workstations for the production line of dry sampling of WF3 products that originally 9 work stations are 8 work stations (one work station is handled by one operator). Keseimbangan lini digunakan untuk mendapatkan lintasan perakitan yang memenuhi tingkat produksi tertentu. Demikian penyeimbangan lini harus dilakukan dengan metode yang tepat sehingga menghasilkan keluaran berupa keseimbangan lini yang terbaik. Tujuan akhir pada keseimbangan lini adalah memaksimasi kecepatan di tiap stasiun kerja sehingga dicapai efisiensi kerja yang tinggi di tiap stasiun kerja. Dengan menggunakan Metode Line Balancing yang ada, yaitu Metode Ranked Positional Weight ( RPW ), Largest Candidate Rule ( LCR ), dan Killbridge and Wester, dapat dirancang stasiun kerja yang tepat demi keseimbangan lintasan dengan memperhitungkan kecepatan produksi. Kondisi awal lini produksi sampel kering produk WF3 terdiri dari 9 stasiun kerja dengan nilai Line Effeciency yang kurang baik yaitu 71.11%, Idle Time (ID) 1141.19 detik, balance delay 28.89%, nilai Smoothess Index 433.72, dan kapasitas produksi 57 pack per hari. Berdasarkan analisis keseimbangan lini produksi dengan metode Ranked Positional Weight (RPW) nilai Line Effeciency lebih baik yaitu 82.23%, Idle Time (ID) 606.88 detik, Balance Delay (BD) 17.77%, Smoothess Index (SI) 283.03 dan kapasitas produksi sebesar 59 pack perhari. Jumlah stasiun kerja yang ideal untuk lini produksi pembuatan sampel kering produk WF3 yang awalnya 9 stasiun kerja adalah 8 stasiun kerja (satu stasiun kerja ditangani oleh satu operator).
