Abstract

Transformer 1 substation Malangbong initially has a capacity of 10 MVA using grounding system with solid grounding method. However, based on data disturbance compiled by Substation Malangbong solid grounding method causing short circuit so large that when the occurrence of disturbance with large currents can flow back into the transformer and endanger the phase transformer phase itself. This indicates an error indication in the grounding system. The study was conducted by calculating the exact value of NGR resistance used in upgrading 30 MVA transformer, calculating relay setting of GFR, calculating SBEF relay setting, observing the amount of short circuit current when interference with solid grounding method compared with neutral grounding resistor method. The results of the study indicate that the NGR method can reduce the amount of noise current during short circuit failure using NGR 12 Ohm. Maximum short circuit current with ground solids system is 1838,21 A but in real maximum short circuit current that happened that is equal to 1792 A and with grounding system of Neutral Grounding Resistor equal to 962,27 A but in real maximum short circuit current that happened along year 2018 which amounted to 321 A. Keywords: Ground, Short circuit, NGR, Solid Transformator 1 gardu induk Malangbong awalnya memiliki kapasitas 10 MVA mempergunakan sistem pentanahan dengan metode solid grounding. Namun berdasarkan data gangguan yang dihimpun oleh Gardu Induk Malangbong metode solid grounding menimbulkan arus hubung singkat yang cukup besar sehingga ketika terjadinya gangguan dengan arus yang besar dapat mengalir kembali masuk ke dalam transformator dan membahayakan rangkaian phasa transformator itu sendiri. Hal ini menunjukkan indikasi kesalahan dalam sistem grounding. Penelitian dilkukan dengan menghitung nilai tahanan NGR yang tepat digunakan pada uprating trafo 30 MVA, menghitung setting relai GFR, menghitung setting relai SBEF, melakukan pengamatan besarnya arus hubung singkat ketika terjadi gangguan dengan metode solid grounding dibandingkan dengan metode neutral grounding resistor. Hasil penelitian menyatakan bahwa Metode NGR dapat mengurangi besarnya arus gangguan saat terjadi gangguan hubung singkat dengan menggunakan NGR 12 Ohm. Besar arus hubung singkat maksimal dengan sistem pentanahan solid grounding sebesar 1838,21 A namun secara real arus hubung singkat maksimal yang terjadi yaitu sebesar 1792 A dan dengan sistem pentanahan Neutral Grounding Resistor sebesar 962,27 A namun secara real arus hubung singkat maksimal yang terjadi sepanjang tahun 2018 yaitu sebesar 321 A.
