Abstract

PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor is a manufacturing company engaged in the automotive industry that produces four-wheeled vehicles with brands Daihatsu and Toyota. One of the products produced is the unit with the D40D code. Problems faced by PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor is the high problem function in Painting 2 departments with Defect Per Unit (DPU) of 0.11 on unit D40D, so the problem can decrease productivity. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the quality to solve the problem so that the target of Defect Per Unit 0.1 on D40D set by the company can be achieved.Along with the culture of Continuous Improvement applied by PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor, the author wants to make improvements to overcome the problem. Type of improvement done by the author is Suggestion System (SS). SS is often referred to as a suggestion system in the form of a written proposal submitted by the employee to the company for the improvement of the problem of work being faced. In the preparation of SS, the author uses the cycle Plan, Do, Check, Action (PDCA). The result of the evaluation of the SS performed that the DPU on the D40D unit decreased from 0.11 DPU to 0.0614 DPU and increased process capability from 89% to 93.86%. Astra Daihatsu Motor adalah perusahan manufaktur yang bergerak di bidang otomotif yang memproduksi kendaraan roda empat dengan merk Daihatsu dan Toyota. Salah satu produk yang dihasilkan yaitu unit dengan kode D40D. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor adalah tingginya problem function pada departmen Painting 2 yakni dengan Defect Per Unit (DPU) sebesar 0,11 pada unit D40D, sehingga problem tersebut dapat menurunkan produktivitas. Untuk itu perlu adanya perbaikan kualitas untuk memecahkan masalah tersebut agar target Defect Per Unit 0.1 pada D40D yang ditetapkan perusahaan dapat tercapai.Seiring dengan budaya Continuous Improvement yang diterapkan PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor, penulis ingin melakukan improvement untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Jenis improvement yang dilakukan oleh penulis adalah Suggestion System (SS). SS sering disebut juga sistem saran yang berupa usulan tertulis yang diajukan oleh karyawan untuk perusahaan untuk perbaikan terhadap masalah pekerjaan yang sedang dihadapi. Dalam penyusunan SS, penulis menggunakan siklus Plan,Do,Check,Action (PDCA). Hasil evaluasi dari SS yang dilakukan bahwa DPU pada unit D40D menurun dari 0,11 DPU menjadi 0,0614 DPU dan meningkatkan kapabilitas proses dari 89% menjadi 93,86%.
