Abstract
With the development of motor vehicle technology and also the level of need for travel from the community with various needs, required a good road and accordance to the standards. As the times progressed, the commonly used resources become rare, so there is need for alternative materials. Alternative materials such as rice husk ash waste and fly ash. This two waste materials can be used as an alternative as filler material for concrete asphalt mixture, especially asphalt concrete of AC-WC layer, because rice husk ash and fly ash have silica so it is expected to improve the quality of concrete asphalt mixture. The purpose of this research is to know the value of static stability and flow using Marshall test and to know dynamic stability using Wheel Tracking test. This research begins with literature review and materials testing. Before starting tes in laboratory, material preparation and physical properties of the material are examined. The data required are aggregate specific gravity, aggregate durability, effective specific gravity, asphalt penetration, asphalt flash point, asphalt soft point, asphalt density, asphalt ductility, optimum asphalt content, Marshall characteristics, optimum filler content, residual strength index and stability dynamic. From the research results obtained optimum bitumen content amount 5.5% with VMA 17.302%, VIM 4.496%, VFA 74,027%, stability 1111.535 kg, flow 3.5 mm. In the test using variation of filler content of rice husk ash and fly ash, the optimum filler content for asphalt concrete mixture was 2% rice husk ash & 5% fly ash with VMA 22,209%, VIM 10,332%, VFA 53,447%, stability 1030,076 kg, flow 4,583 mm. To obtain the residual strength index, use Marshall Immersion test with 24 hours immersion time, the result of the variation of fly fill content of fly ash 7% did not meet the requirement because under 75%, for the variation of other filler content fulfilled the requirement because the residual strength index was above 75%. In the Wheel Tracking test with 5.5% asphalt content composition and 2% filler content of rice husk ash & 5% fly ash obtained dynamic stability of 1968.8 passes / mm where dynamic stability was not fulfilled the requirement because under 2,500 passes / mm. Dengan perkembangan teknologi kendaraan bermotor dan juga tingkat kebutuhan akan perjalanan dari masyarakat dengan berbagai kebutuhan, dibutuhkan jalan yang baik dan memenuhi standard. Seiring perkembangan zaman, sumber daya yang biasa digunakan semakin menipis, maka dari itu diperlukan bahan alternatif. Bahan alternatif yang dimaksud yaitu limbah abu sekam padi dan fly ash. Dari 2 bahan limbah tersebut dapat dijadikan alternatif sebagai bahan filler untuk campuran aspal beton khususnya campuran aspal beton lapisan AC-WC, karena abu sekam padi dan fly ash mengandung silika sehingga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan mutu dari campuran aspal beton. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui nilai stabilitas statis dan flow menggunakan alat uji Marshall dan mengetahui stabilitas dinamis menggunakan alat uji Wheel Tracking. Penelitian ini dimulai dengan kegiatan kajian pustaka lalu pengujian bahan. Sebelum melakukan pengujian laboratorium, dilakukan persiapan bahan dan pemeriksaan sifat fisik bahan. Data yang diperlukan adalah data berat jenis agregat, keausan agregat, berat jenis efektif, penetrasi aspal, titik nyala aspal, titik lembek aspal, berat jenis aspal, daktilitas aspal, kadar aspal optimum, karakteristik Marshall, kadar filler optimum, indeks kekuatan sisa dan stabilitas dinamis. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan kadar aspal optimum sebesar 5,5% dengan VMA 17,302%, VIM 4,496%, VFA 74,027%, stabilitas 1111,535 kg, flow 3,5 mm. Pada pengujian menggunakan variasi kadar filler abu sekam padi dan fly ash didapatkan kadar filler optimum untuk campuran aspal beton yaitu 2% abu sekam padi & 5 % fly ash dengan VMA 22,209% , VIM 10,332% , VFA 53,447% , stabilitas 1030,076 kg , flow 4,583 mm. Untuk mendapatkan indeks kekuatan sisa, dilakukan pengujian Marshall Immersion dengan waktu perendaman 24 jam, hasil yang didapat variasi kadar filler fly ash 7% tidak memenuhi syarat karena dibawah 75%, untuk variasi kadar filler lainnya memenuhi syarat karena IKS berada diatas 75%. Pada pengujian Wheel Tracking dengan komposisi kadar aspal 5,5% dan kadar filler 2% abu sekam padi & 5% fly ash didapatkan stabilitas dinamis sebesar 1968,8 lintasan/mm dimana stabilitas dinamis tidak memenuhi syarat karena dibawah 2500 lintasan/mm.
