Abstract
ABSTRAK As the company's management policies that require to implement the Built In Quality (BIQ) system in the production line starting this year, the production operators are required to check their own products. So we need checking tool to simplify and speed up product checking time. With the tools, the operator skill required to check is not too high. For that the author took the theme of designing checking fixture to speed up the cycle time checking for product Bracket Center Support Bearing. Then by designing and making checking fixture can reduce the checking cycle time by 708 seconds (11.8 minutes) per part. reduced costs for the purchase of measuring instruments, the company's profit increases by Rp 5,792,280 per year, the operator does not require high skill to check parts, and indirectly supports the Built in Quality (BIQ) program that the company wants to apply. Keywords: Designing, Checking Fixture, Quality, Inspection ABSTRAK Seiring berjalannya kebijakan management perusahaan yang mengharuskan untuk menerapkan sistem Built In Quality (BIQ) di line produksi mulai tahun ini, membuat operator produksi dituntut untuk melakukan pengecekan produknya sendiri. Sehingga diperlukan alat bantu pengecekan untuk mempermudah dan mempercepat waktu pengecekan produk. Dengan adanya alat bantu, skill operator yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan pengecekan tidak terlalu tinggi. Untuk itu penulis mengambil tema perancangan checking fixture untuk mempercepat cycle time pengecekan untuk produk Bracket Center Support Bearing. Kemudian dengan melakukan perancangan dan pembuatan checking fixture dapat menurunkan cycle time pengecekan sebesar 708 detik (11.8 menit) per part. berkurangnya biaya untuk pembelian alat ukur, keuntungan perusahaan bertambah Rp 5.792.280,- per tahun, operator tidak memerlukan skill yang tinggi untuk melakukan pengecekan part, serta secara tidak langsung mendukung program Built in Quality (BIQ) yang ingin diterapkan oleh perusahaan.
