Abstract
Keywords are needed to make reader easier to understand the content in a document. It takes an approach that can overcome the dynamic topic of research without paying attention to the collection of existing documents. Keyword Extraction is a sequence of one or more words that provides representations of the content in a document. Then, the selected keywords will represent the content of index form in the document. This keyword itself is used to define queries in the information retrieval system (IR) because it is easy to find, to revise, to remember, and to share. Automatic keyword extraction is the process of identifying a small set of words, key phrases, keywords, or key segments of a document that can describe the meaning of a document automatically. Automatic keyword extraction will facilitate the reader in determining the keywords of a document. Rapid Automatic Keyword Extraction (RAKE) is an approach/method that using stop word without using semantic relationship between one word to another word, but it will calculate the co-occurrence matrix of one word (co-occurrence of word). Then, the results of the matrix will be used to the scoring process of candidate keywords. This method begins with the process of calculating the occurrence of words that shown frequently together in a text, then after the process is done, the application will make a scoring of each word that became a candidate keywords, then the keyword will be sorting from the highest to the lowest score. This method is very efficient, compared to the lack of data training process and the calculation of semantic relationships between words. Based on the results of testing process, the application is working well according to the analysis performance. Keywords: Rapid Automatic Keyword Extraction (RAKE), keywords, scoring, applications.
