Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the strength and direction of the influenceof leadership and discipline on employee performance. Problems in this study due to an increase in the number of employees decreased employee performance from 2009 till in 2013, leadership of the Head Unit (Inspector General) background instead of the field of internal audit government, Completion report on the implementation of the tasks that have not been up till the year 2009 - 2013 and the percentage of employee attendance rates are still lower till the year 2009 - 2013. This research was conducted at the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Jakarta. The results showed leadership and Discipline have a strong and significant influence on employee performance. The results of this study it can be concluded that: Leadership and discipline work together to affect the performance of employees of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Leadership influence on the performance of employees of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and Work Discipline affect the performance of employees of the Inspectorate General of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. Keywords: Leadership, Work Discipline, Employee Performance Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kekuatan dan arah pengaruh kepemimpinan dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini dikarenakan peningkatan jumlah pegawai yang mengalami penurunan kinerja pegawai dari tahun 2009 s.d. tahun 2013, Kepemimpinan dari Kepala Satuan Kerja (Inspektur Jenderal) yang berlatar belakang bukan dari bidang pengwasan internal pemerintah, Penyelesaian laporan pelaksanaan tugas yang belum maksimal dari tahun 2009 s.d. tahun 2013 dan presentase tingkat kehadiran pegawai yang masih rendah dari tahun 2009 s.d.tahun 2013. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Inspektorat Jenderal Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika,Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kepemimpinan dan DisiplinKerja mempunyai pengaruh yang kuat dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Kepemimpinan dan disiplin kerja secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai Inspektorat Jenderal Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika. Kepemimpinan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai Inspektorat Jenderal Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika dan Disiplin Kerja berpengaruh terhadap kinerja pegawai Inspektorat Jenderal Kementerian Komunikasi dan Informatika.
