Abstract

PT Global Access is a telecommunication company which provides broadband internet data service based on WiMAX technology. Along with the increasing number of customers, thus a reliable, fast and valid data processing would be necessary needed. The mentioned information might be useful for the company to monitor and analyze the customers thoroughly and detailed on certain period which will be reported to the executives. Based on the circumstance, data warehouse development is a solution which possible to be applied. Data warehouse will help the executives to analyze, identify and make decision on business matter of the company. The research method which will be used is analysis and designing method. The analysis method would be done by literature study and interview with concerned parties. Designing method would be done by preferring process, determine the core of the business process, dimension and measures identification, fact election, also by doing integration from OLTP to warehouse data. Through this research would establish a data warehouse application system which will be useful to create a complete, detailed and accurate customer information report. Keywords : Data Warehouse, ETL, OLAP, broadband, reporting PT Global Access merupakan sebuah perusahaan telekomunikasi penyedia jasa data internet broadband berbasis teknologi WiMAX. Dengan semakin meningkatnya jumlah pelanggan, maka dibutuhkan pengolahan data yang andal, cepat, dan valid. Informasi tersebut dapat berguna bagi perusahaan untuk memantau dan menganaltisa pelanggan secara lengkap dan detail dalam periode tertentu yang akan dilaporkan pada para eksekutif. Dengan melihat kondisi ini, pengembangan data warehouse merupakan sebuah solusi yang dapat diterapkan. Data warehouse akan membantu para eksekutif untuk menganalisa, meng-identifikasi dan mengambil keputusan bisnis perusahaan. Metode penelitian yang akan digunakan yaitu metode analisis dan perancangan. Metode analisis dilakukan dengan studi pustaka dan wawancara dengan pihak terkait. Metode perancangan dilakukan dengan memilih proses, menentukan sumber dari proses bisnis, identifikasi dimensi dan measures, pemilihan fakta, serta melakukan integrasi dari OLTP ke data warehouse. Dari penelitian ini akan dihasilkan sebuah sistem aplikasi data warehouse yang berguna untuk menghasilkan report informasi pelanggan secara lengkap, detail dan akurat.
