Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan motivasi relawan guru di rumah singgah yang berada di Kota Tangerang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari dua orang relawan guru Anak Langit dan tiga orang relawan guru Roemah Tawon. Dari kelimanya dua orang telah menikah masing-masing relawan guru dari rumah singgah yang berbeda dan tiga orang sisanya belum menikah. Data diperoleh melalui wawancaradan observasi dengan subjek. Penelitian ini mengacu pada penelitian Clary, et al. (1998) VFI (Volunteering Functions Inventory) dan pengembangannya yang dilakukan oleh Allison, L. D., Okun, M. A., & Dutridge, K. S. (2002) dan penelitian ini menunjukan adanya 3 motif tambahan. Dimana terdapat motivasi intrinsik dan motivasi ekstrinsik yang dimiliki oleh subjek penelitian. Dimana motivasi intrinsik terdiri dari motif peningkatan, pemahaman, nilai, protektif, religiusitas, team building, enjoyment, dan resiprokal. Sedangkan motivasi ekstrinsik terdiri dari motif sosial, karir, support social, dan lingkungan.This study aims to describe the motivation of volunteer teachers in a halfway house in the city of Tangerang. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Subjects of this study consisted of two volunteer teachers Anak Langit and three volunteer teachers Roemah Tawon. From the fifth two people are married each volunteer teachers from different shelters and the three remaining unmarried. Data obtained through observation wawancara with the subject. This study draws on research Clary, et al. (1998) VFI (Volunteering Functions Inventory) and its development is done by Allison, L. D., Okun, M. A., & Dutridge, K. S. (2002) and this study showed the presence of 3 additional motive. Where there is intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation which is owned by research subjects. Where intrinsic motivation consists of motifs enhancement, understanding, values, protective, religiosity, team building, enjoyment, and reciprocal. Whereas extrinsic motivation consists of social motives, career, social support, and the environment.
