Abstract
Letak geografis Indonesia yang berada di garis khatulistiwa membuat Indonesia memiliki dua iklim, yakni kemarau dan penghujan. Pada musim kemarau suhu udara sangat tinggi dan sinar matahari memancar sangat panas. Dalam kondisi iklim yang panas inilah muncul ide untuk menyesuaikannya dengan arsitektur bangunan gedung maupun rumah yang dapat memberikan kenyamanan bagi penghuninya. Maka konsep arsitektur tropis dipilih untuk menyesuaikan dengan iklim di negeri ini.The geographical position of Indonesia is located on the equator makes Indonesia has two climate, the dry and rainy. In the dry season the temperature is very high and the sun radiates very hot. In a hot climate conditions here came the idea to adapt the architecture of buildings and homes can provide comfort for occupants. Then the concept of tropical architecture have to adjust to the climate in this country.
