Abstract

Rumah merupakan suatu bangunan yang tidak bisa di pisahkan dari kehidupan manusia. Karena rumah merupakan kebutuhan dasar bagi manusia sebagai tempat berlindung dari berbagai gangguan dari luar. Arti lain dari sebuah rumah yaitu bangunan yang berfungsi sebagai tempat tinggal atau hunian, tempat manusia melangsungkan kehidupannya, tempat berkumpul bersama keluarga, dan lainnya. Karena itu, desain rumah haruslah memberikan kenyamanan bagi penghuninya. Arsitek sebagai seorang yang berprofesi mendesain bangunan memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan desain rumah tinggal yang memberikan kenyamanan bagi penghuninya. Salah satu faktor yang bisa memberikan kenyamanan tersebut yaitu, rumah yang mampu memberikan kenyamanan terhadap keadaan iklim Indonesia yang beriklim tropis. Oleh karena itu, tema perancangan yang diambil yaitu Modern Tropis. Tujuannya adalah untuk menciptakan desain rumah yang sesuai dengan iklim tropis namun tetap memberikan tampilan yang modern sehingga mampu memberikan daya tarik bagi konsumen.The home is a building that can not be separated from human life. Because home is a basic need for human beings as a refuge from a variety of outside interference. Another meaning of a home is a building that serves as a residence or dwelling, a hold human life, a gathering with family, and others. Therefore, the design of the home should provide comfort to the occupants. Architect as a profession of designing buildings has an important role in creating residential design that provides comfort to the occupants. One factor that could provide such convenience that is, home to provide comfort to the climate tropical Indonesia. Therefore, the design theme that is taken is Modern Tropical. The goal is to create a home design that suits the tropical climate but still provide a modern look that is able to attract the consumers
