Abstract
ABSTRACT Hesty Hardining Communication Strategy of Investor Relation Division Case Study at PT. HS Prakasa Investama, Tbk (HSPI) in 2007 (July – September) VII+ 131 Pages + 29 Additions Bibliography: 48 References (1977-2006) As a public corporation, PT. HS Prakasa Investama, Tbk (HSPI) must has responsibility in managing good relation with each of its stakeholders. One of the stakeholders is investor, so it means that HSPI has a responsibility in providing information toward its investors because information service is one of the ways in managing relation for corporate financial publics. Investor Relations is a combination between two major fields of science that are communications and financial science. Handling and managing a favorable atmosphere and relations with investor is the core of investor relations. An investor relation is a set of activities which relate to the ways is which a corporate discloses information requires for regulator compliance and good investment judgment to bond and/or shareholder and the wider financial markets. In this research, writer is using descriptive research type to portray certain social phenomena systematically about some facts or characteristics in appointed population accurately. The method used in this research is case study method, which is one of social science research methods. In this research writer uses interview technique to collect every data ever needed. The research result showed that Investor Relation Division of HSPI has maximized its communication strategy through effective communication programs in fulfilling its responsibility to provide information toward corporate financial publics especially investor. The communication strategy used the most is face to face or straight interaction because it could cause straight feedback or respond. Writer recommended that HSPI’s Investor Relation Division could maximize the use of media or instrument on its communication program and writer also suggested this division to be more equal or fair in treating every investor that corporation has.
