Abstract
ABSTRACT Theobjectiveofthisresearchistoanalysisandgivingtheempirical evidenceaboutthefreecashflowandtheeffectofitfordebtpolicyofpublik companiesinIndonesia.Thisresearchwasusing28sampleofmanufacturing companiesintheyear2006and2007.thissamplewaselectedbasedonpurposive sample,thehypothesistestisthesamplelinierregression. Theresultofthisresearchshowedthathypothesiswerenotsupported,there areinfluenceoffreecashflowtothedebtpolicy,becauseintheyear2006and2007 hasbeenglobalmonetaryandtheeffectatinterestrate,inflation,andgovernment policy.Intheagencyrelationshipthereisdifferencesinterestbetweentheprincipal andthemanageralsocreateagencycost.Intheshareholders(agents)pointofview, thiscanbeminimizebythethirdparty(debtholder)whosecomebythedebtpolicy, butnotalso.Increasingfinancingwithdebtwillreducetheconflictbetweenthe shareholdersandthemanagement.
