Abstract

ABSTRACT ThisstudyaimstodeterminewhetherthereisrelationshipbetweennetincomeandoperatingcashflowofthecashdividendonthecompanyandthechemiclindustryintheIndonesiaStockExchange. Scopeofcompaniesthatwillbeexaminedincludecompaniesengagedinindustryandchemicals.CompaniesthatmadetheobjectofresearchisacompanythathasbeenregisteredintheIndonesiaStockExchangecompanythathasbeenorGoPublic.Thecompany'sactivitiesinclude:produce,processandtradeandindustrialchemicalproducts,suchasplasticsandpackaging,cement,metalandthelike,ceramic,porcelainandglass,wood,pulpandpaper. Researchmethodusedisthecorrelationmethodofresearchthataimstounderstandtherelationshipbetweenavariablewithothervariables.Onthisresearchdatausedaresecondarydata,whilethepopulationofthisresearchare51companiesandindustrialchemicalsthatareregisteredinBEI2004-2006.Thesampleof10companiesconductedwithpurposivelysamplingmethodwherethereisaparticularconsiderationinthesampling. Dataanalysismethodusedisdescriptivequantitativeanalysis,whichcanbeusedtoprosessingdescriptivestatistics.Then,thedatainthetestusingthePearsoncorrelation.Aftertestingisdone,itwillbeknownwhetherthehypotheticalreceivedorrejected. FromtheresultsoftheresearchusingthePearsoncorrelation,thereisastrongcorrelationbetweenprofitandcashflowbesihoperationwiththecashdividend.
