Abstract

ABSTRACT This research discusses the improvement of the taxpayers and the amount of tax revenue in the Directorate General of Tax before, during and after the course of Sunset Policy. This research is completed under descriptive research method which compares the numbers of the taxpayers and tax revenue acquired before the execution of Sunset Policy with the numbers gained during and after Sunset Policy implementation. By this study, it is recommended for the Directorate General of Tax to have an intensive socialization of Sunset Policy, since such policy has confirmed its capacity to effectively improve the number of registered taxpayers and the amount of tax revenue. Aligned with this statement, improvements of tax administration system and services by tax officers are necessarily needed to support the database which has been obtained through the Sunset Policy.
