Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted to determine influence the implementation of good corporate governance to financial performance of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. In this research measured the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) using the scores of Corporate Covernance concept issued by IICG (The Indonesian Institute For Corporate Governance). The scores of Corporate Governance concept as independent variables and financial performance as the dependent variable. Which focused on the financial performance of Return On Equity and Economic Value Added. Sample used in this research is a public company non-financial Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) participants in 2006 to 2007 and consistently having scores over years of research. Research methods used are causal method, where the data used is quantitative data. Statistical tests using descriptive statistics, normality tests, and simple linear regression test. Based on the results of research with the probability value of 0.05 indicates that there is influence between the GCG implementation of the ROE. However, the implementation of GCG with EVA have no influence.
