Abstract
The Development of telecommunication technology and growing number of providers on the GSM operators (Global System for Mobile Communications), forcing service providers to continuously improve service quality and convenience of communicating. In order to provide reliable and quality service and convenience of communicating, then the operator in this case PT.HCPT (3) to further strengthen its network and optimize service and quality existing network by optimizing its network on each period. In this final project, conducted by analysis of optimization BSC Tangerang2 one of PT.HCPT (3) BSC, based on the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) that include: RxLevel, Rx Qual, CSSR, TCH block rate and TCH drop rate. Optimization is done by statistical observation in the OSS and the drive test in the field. By doing the optimization, it can analyze the cause of the decline in service quality and searchable on the improvement of network solutions based on the KPI. Optimization that has been done are modify parameter handover, modify parameter idle, modify parameter full rate and half rate also restart TRX modul. Keywords: GSM, optimization, drive test, KPI
