Abstract
since the ancient civilizations used the picture as a medium of information, the current image is developed into a work of art that can make people who see it will understand the information contained in the image. then came the comic, the book contains a picture. in the comics we can find any story like fantasy, drama, action and science fiction. other than that in the film industry also began to use comics to help the film production process is storyboarding. and finally at this time the comic has become a medium of entertainment that can be enjoyed by all ages. Typically, the comics are printed on paper and comes with a text. Comics can be issued in various forms, ranging from the strip in the newspaper, published in the magazine, to form a separate book. but in the modern era, it's been a lot of comics in digital form to the website and phone. besides a lot of great movies that lift the story from the comics, like spiderman, x-men, superman, the hulk, and so on. that's why comics are no longer supporting media to other media.
