Abstract

The importance of information for college students and lecturers in seeking and knowing the schedules in campus such as final assembly schedule, final test schedule and middle test schedule that can be known only after accessing the internet makes it possible to share information which can be accessed through mobile phones or SMS. Short Message Service (SMS) at mobile phones that offers an easiness and very low cost is able to reduce problems. This service is very suitable to apply in searching information about the above schedules. Based on the above matters, this final project is to create an application system by SMS Gateway as the basis which is able to provide information about the above schedules, so that can be used as one of alternatives to get information easily and quickly. The result of this application's creation is able to share information in accordance with the information scheduled in campus. Keywords: SMS Gateway Systems Academic Information Pentingnya informasi bagi para mahasiswa dan dosen dalam mencari dan mengetahui jadwal-jadwal yang berada di dalam kampus contohnya jadwal sidang tugas akhir, jadwal uas dan jadwal uts yang hanya baru bisa diketahui setelah mengakses internet memungkinkan untuk membuat informasi yang bisa diakses lewat telepon selular atau melalaui sms. Layanan sms (Short message service) pada handphone yang menawarkan kemudahan dan biaya yang sangat murah dapat mengurangi permasalahan tersebut diatas. Layanan ini sangat cocok untuk diterapkan dalam mencari informasi mengenai jadwal-jadwal tersebut diatas. Dikarenakan hal tersebut diatas, maka dalam tugas akhir ini dibuat sebuah sistem aplikasi bebasis SMS Gateway yang dapat menyediakan / memberikan informasi mengenai jadwal-jadwal tersebut. Sehingga dapat dijadikan salah satu jalan alternatif untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai hal tersebut dengan mudah dan cepat. Hasil pembuatan aplikasi ini mampu memeberikan informasi sesuai dengan informasi yang di jadwalkan pada kampus. Kata Kunci: SMS Gateway Sistem Informasi Akademik
