Abstract
Salah satu fasilitas yang disediakan telepon seluler untuk melakukan pengiriman data berupa pesan singkat yaitu melalui SMS (Short Message Service). Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi tersebut, timbul pertanyaan mengenai keamanan informasi jika seseorang ingin menyimpan suatu informasi rahasia dengan menyimpan pesan SMS. Secara umum penyimpanan pesan SMS tidak menjamin kerahasiaan pesan yang disimpan oleh pengguna. Sebuah informasi umumnya hanya ditujukan bagi segolongan tertentu. Oleh karena itu sangatlah penting untuk mencegahnya agar tidak jatuh kepada pihak-pihak yang tidak berhak. Untuk keperluan tersebut, maka diperlukan sebuah teknik kriptografi dengan metode enkripsi dan dekripsi pesan. Dengan memanfaatkan algoritma kriptografi Triple DES, penulis membuat suatu aplikasi pengiriman pesan secara tersandikan pada telepon seluler yang berbasis android untuk mengamankan suatu informasi yang disimpan atau yang dikirimkan oleh pengguna. Metode yang digunakan dalam membangun aplikasi ini yaitu Metode Waterfall. Metode dimulai dari pendefinisian kebutuhan lalu analisa, desain, implementasi, pengujian dan pemeliharaan aplikasi. Dengan adanya aplikasi pengenkripsian pesan ini diharapkan pengguna dapat mengirimkan atau menyimpan suatu informasi rahasia tanpa takut diketahui isi informasi tersebut oleh orang lain. Kata Kunci : Kriptografi, Triple DES, Enkripsi, Keamanan Data, SMS, Android One of its popular features provided by mobile phones for data transmission is SMS (Short Message Service). Along with the development of these technologies, it raises the questions about the security of information if a person wants to keep a secret information by storing SMS messages. SMS message storage does not guarantee the confidentiality of messages stored by the user. An information is generally only for a certain person. Therefore it is very important to prevent the information from being known to the other person are not entitled to. For this purpose, we need a cryptographic techniques with methods of encryption and decryption of messages. By making use of Triple DES cryptographic algorithm, the author made an application which are able to send encrypted messages to mobile phones based on android platform to secure the information stored or transmitted by the user. The method that used in building this application is Waterfall Method. The method starts from the definition and requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of application. With this application the author hopesusers can transmit or store confidential information without the fear of being known by the others.
