Abstract

Incomplete data is often encountered in the presentation of discrete data. The problems that usually arise from it is how determine the value of the incomplete data when doing data management for a particular purpose. Lagrange Polynomial Interpolation or also known as Lagrange Interpolation, is one of polynomial interpolation (lots of degree) that can used to find the specific value by performing calculation based on existing data as a reference, whether the value that lies between the reference data and also the value that lies outside the reference data. By performing calculation using this method, the process of finding value can be fast without having to find the same function with the previous data. It would be helpful if calculation process can be done with the help of simulation application that implement this method. And based on that, the expected result from this study is creation of visual-based simulation application that can performing calculation using Lagrange Interpolation. UNIVERSITAS Keywords: Lagrange Interpolation, Polynomial Interpolation, Finding Value Ketidaklengkapan data merupakan hal yang sering kali ditemui dalam penyajian data-data diskrit. Permasalahan yang biasanya muncul dari hal tersebut adalah bagaimana menentukan nilai dari data yang tidak lengkap itu saat melakukan pengelolaan data untuk tujuan tertentu. Interpolasi Polinomial Lagrange atau yang lebih dikenal dengan Interpolasi Lagrange, adalah salah satu jenis interpolasi polinomial (berderajat banyak) yang dapat digunakan untuk mencari nilai tertentu dengan melakukan perhitungan berdasarkan data-data yang ada sebagai acuannya, baik nilai yang berada di antara data-data acuan tersebut maupun nilai yang berada di luar data-data acuan tersebut. Dengan melakukan perhitungan. menggunakan metode ini, proses pencarian nilai dapat berlangsung dengan cepat tanpa harus mencari fungsi yang sama dengan data-data sebelumnya. Akan lebih membantu apabila proses perhitungan dapat dilakukan dengan bantuan aplikasi simulasi yang menerapkan metode ini. Dan berdasarkan hal tersebut, hasil yang menerapkan metode ini. Dan berd UNIVERSITAS diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah terbentuknya suatu aplikasi simulasi berbasis MERCU BUANA visual yang dapat melakukan perhitungan menggunakan Interpolasi Lagrange.
