Abstract
Penggunaan internet dan sms dikalangan pelajar seperti SMP sudah bukan hal yang sulit ditemukan, akan tetapi sudah banyak sekali pelajar SMP yang sudah mengenal dunia internet dan sms. Sarana web yang dimiliki oleh sebuah Sekolah Menengah Pertama 5 Tangerang Selatan merupakan hal yang sangat penting, karena akan memberikan banyak informasi tentang sekolah ini kepada setiap orang yang mengakses web sekolah ini. Disekolah Menengah Pertama 5 Tangerang Selatan pengelolaan nilai semester masih menggunakan secara manual yaitu ditulis. Dibutuhkannya banyak waktu dan tenaga yang digunakan dalam pengisian nilai raport, belum lagi saat penulisan nilai kedalam raport dibutuhkan ketelitian karena kesalahan penulisan akan menyebabkan kertas diraport dapat kotor. Ini merupakan hal yang kurang efisien dalam penulisan nilai semester. Dari keadaan tersebut maka dapat dibuat suatu program sistem pengelolaan data nilai semester di smp 5 Kota Tangerang Selatan yang secara manual menjadi berbasis web dan sms gateway yang diharapkan mempermudah dan dapat bermanfaat oleh para guru, karena tidak perlu lagi untuk mengeluarkan banyak waktu dan tenaga untuk menulis hasil nilai kedalam raport, setiap guru hanya tinggal memasukkan data kedalam sebuah database yang sudah disediakan dan hasilnya akan bisa dilihat melalui web dan sms gateway oleh para muridnya. Kelebihan-kelebihan lain yang diharapkan ialah mudah diakses dimanapun dan kapanpun yang menjadi prioritas utama agar murid dapat melihat hasil nilainya dimanapun dan kapanpun dengan mudah. Other advantages are expected accessible anywhere and anytime a first priority, so the students can see the results of its value anywhere and anytime with ease.
