Abstract

As a competitive industry, it takes a company's ability to generate a good profit. Profit of the company itself, one of which is Profitability. . This study aims to determine the working capital, capital structure, firm size and total assets turnover affect the profitability of companies in the property and the real estate that it is a business sector which is sufficiently developed during the period 2008 to 2011. Data analysis method used is multiple linear regression equation model. Based on the analysis of the research is that the working capital and capital structure has no influence on the profitability of this sector. However, firm size has an influence on profitability is by increasing the size of the company it has a greater probability to win the competition so as to provide a high return to investors and also TATO has an affect to profitability. Suggestion for the company is to continue to maintain a level of profitability to improve internal cash resources and financing needs in the foreseeable future, for investors is pay more attention to the condition of the profitability Seiring dengan persaingan industri, dibutuhkan kemampuan perusahaan dalam menghasilkan laba yang baik. Laba perusahaan itu sendiri, salah satunya adalah Profitabilitas Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui modal kerja, struktur modal, ukuran perusahaan dan perputaran total aktiva berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan pada sektor properti dan real estate yang merupakan sektor bisnis cukup berkembang selama periode 2008 - 2011. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah model persamaan regresi linier berganda. Berdasarkan hasil analisis penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa modal kerja dan struktur modal tidak mempunyai pengaruh terhadap profitabilitas pada sektor ini. Size memiliki pengaruh terhadap profitabilitas yaitu dengan semakin besar ukuran perusahaan maka memiliki probabilitas lebih besar sehingga dapat memberikan return yang tinggi pada investor dan TATO juga berpengaruh terhadap profitabilitas. Saran bagi perusahaan adalah terus menjaga tingkat profitabilitasnya guna meningkatkan sumber dana internal serta memenuhi kebutuhan pendanaan di masa mendatang. bagi investor lebih memperhatikan kondisi profitabilitas perusahaan agar investasi yang dilakukan nantinya dapat mendatangkan keuntungan Kata Kunci : modal kerja, struktur modal, ukuran perusahaan, perputaran total aktiva, profitabilitas
