Abstract
Saat ini jumlah pelanggan listrik prabayar di PLN (Persero) Area Kotabaru Kalimantan Selatan sebanyak 8.362 pelanggan dengan daya yang bervariasi antara daya 450 VA – 3.500 VA. Informasi menjelang pulsanya habis, di meteran ada alarm dan tombol yang berkedip-kedip, sedangkan indikator sisa pulsa yang berupa tombol dan alarm atau lampu yang berkedip tersebut terkadang tidak terdeteksi atau terdengar oleh pelanggan sehingga apabila pelanggan tidak segera memonitoring kondisi sisa pulsa yang menipis maka dapat terjadi pemadaman mendadak Dalam penelitian ini membahas tentang bagaimana animo masyarakat dalam penggunaan SMS Gateway untuk dapat dimanfaatkan dalam mengetahui sisa pulsa yang ada di Kwh meter prabayar pelanggan sebelum pulsanya habis untuk menghindari pemadaman yang tidak diinginkan, oleh karena itu dalam penelitian ini akan dilihat bagaimana animo masyarakat dengan cara pendekatan kuantitatif melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada pelanggan dan melakukan wawancara dengan petugas dari PT. PLN Area Kotabaru. Dalam studi ini akan dilihat banyaknya dukungan dari masyarakat dalam penggunaan SMS Gateway untuk mendapatkan laporan sisa pulsa Kwh meter prabayar dengan menggunakan analisis SWOT. Kata Kunci : Kwh Meter Prabayar, Analisa SWOT, SMS Gateway. The number of pre-paid electric customers at PT. PLN (Persero) of Kotabaru Region, South Kalimantan, was 8,362 customers who are registering various powers, ranging between 450 VA – 3,500 VA. When the pulse was approaching to end, the alarm of the electric gauge was sounding with flickering lamps. The indicators of the remaining pulse, however, were the button, the alarm or the flickering lamps which were always uneasily detected or head by the customers. Therefore, the customers did not feel necessary to conduct immediate monitoring to the remaining pulse. It was not surprising then the sudden switch- off was happened unexpectedly. Research was discussing the opinion of the community in using SMS Gateway to observe the remaining pulse in the prepaid electric gauge to avoid the problem of the run-out pulse which might cause sudden switch-off. Research method was quantitative approach which involved the distribution of questionnaire to the customer and the interview with the employee of PT. PLN of Kotabaru Region. Result of SWOT analysis indicated that the community was supporting the use of SMS Gateway to deliver the report of the remaining pulse at prepaid electric gauge.
