Abstract
A product produced by a company will be accepted by the market if the product quality. Therefore, PT. Meary Jaya. must be able to convince the market that the product has the best quality so that it can out perform its competitors. PT. Meary Jaya. acompany engagedin the manufacturing industry in the manufacture of components manufacture electric guitars. As a company that manufactures guitars different kinds of products, trying to do continuous improvement (Improvement Continueous.) To meet customer needs. The most important improvement is to reduce the quantity and quality of time between the process and increase the capacity of existing machines. To ensure a smooth production process of the company, there is a system capable of handling problems associated with the procurement of raw materials. This system is called the Material Requirement Planning (MRP). In an effort to maintain and strengthen the existence of the enterprise IT sector both nationally and globally, every company must monitor and improve the performance of the company to focus on the efficiency and effectiveness of production. Application of the method Material Requirement Planning (MRP) is expected to minimize the risk of loss to be borne by the company related to the decision-making errors procurement of raw materials. Keyword : Forecasting, Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Lot Sizing, Fixed Order Quantity (FOQ), Fixed Period Requirement (FPR), Lot For Lot (LFL), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Sebuah produk yang dihasilkan oleh sebuah perusahaan akan dapat diterima oleh pasar apabila produk yang dihasilkan berkualitas. Oleh karena itu, PT. Meary Jaya. harus dapat meyakinkan pasar bahwa produk yang dihasilkan mempunyai kualitas terbaik sehingga dapat mengungguli para pesaingnya. PT. Meary Jaya. salah satu perusahan yang bergerak pada industri manufaktur dalam pembuatan komponen-komponen pembuatan gitar listrik. Sebagai perusahaan yang memproduksi gitar listrik berbagai jenis produk, berusaha melakukan perbaikan yang terus menerus (Continueous Improvement).untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan. Hal yang paling penting dalam peningkatan kuantitas dan kualitas adalah memperkecil waktu antar proses dan peningkatan kapasitas mesin yang ada. Demi menjamin kelancaran proses produksi perusahaan, terdapat suatu sistem yang mampu menangani masalah terkait dengan pengadaan kebutuhan bahan baku. Sistem ini disebut dengan Material Requirement Planning (MRP).Dalam usaha mempertahankan dan memperkuat eksistensi perusaahaan baik disektor nasional maupun global, setiap perusahaan harus mengawasi dan meningkatkan kinerja perusahaan untuk fokus terhadap efisiensi dan efektivitas produksi. Penerapan metode Material Requirement planning (MRP) ini diharapkan memperkecil resiko kerugian yang akan ditanggung perusahaan terkait dengan kesalahan pengambilan keputusan pengadaan bahan baku.
