Abstract
Two of the studies on English language learning has been done at the Informatics of Mercu Buana University, use JQuery and PHP technologies for Web-based English language learning without text to speech component and research use text to speech technology for learning English listening-based Desktop. In this study, the authors attempted to implement text to speech technology in the e-learning web-based, which had previously been built. The addition of text to speech component is done using text to speech technology which are client-side, followed by changing the HTML code in the page about allowing summoned function to produce sound. Based on the test results, the addition of text to speech technology successfully conducted on the application of Web-based English language learning. Changes made to the success of web-based learning application is minimized, it is only by making a few changes to the source code of HTML and a little change in the structure of the database table.
