Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of profitability, sales growth, and leverage on working capital. The population of this research is the textile and garmen companies listed on BEI from year 2010 – 2013. The samples are obtained by using the purposive sampling methode until only 15 companies left to be taken as samples in this research. This research uses regression analysis methode to find the effect of independent variables, such as profitabilitity, sales growth and company’s leverage. The result of this research shows the variable of profitability and sales growth has insignificant effect to the amount of working capital, so do the variable of profitability. Meanwhile the variable of operating cycle has positive insignificant effect on working capital, the variable leverage has negative significant effect on working capital and variable working capital the previose year has positive significant effect on working capital for the year. To sum up, only leverage and working capital the previose year that have significant on working capital of textile and garmen companies sector which enlisted in the BEI from year 2010 – 2013. Keywords : Working Capital , Profitability , Sales Growth, Leverage Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh profitabilitas, pertumbuhan penjualan, dan leverage terhadap modal kerja. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah perusahaan tekstil dan garmen yang terdaftar di BEI pada tahun 2010-2013. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling sehingga diperoleh 15 perusahaan yang memenuhi syarat sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis regresi berganda untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel bebas yang terdiri dari profitabilitas, pertumbuhan penjualan, dan leverage terhadap modal kerja perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel profitabilitas dan pertumbuhan penjualan berpengaruh positif tidak signifikan terhadap modal kerja, variabel leverage berpengaruh negatif signifikan terhadap modal kerja dan variabel modal kerja perusahaan tahun sebelumnya berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap modal kerja tahun berjalan. Sehingga hanya leverage dan modal kerja tahun sebelumnya yang memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap modal kerja perusahaan tekstil dan garmen yang listing di BEI pada tahun 2010-2013.
