Abstract
Virtualisasi server adalah salah satu solusi yang dianggap sangat berguna bagi sebagian besar orang, maka dikembangkanlah virtual-virtual server oleh beberapa software developer. Salah satu wujud dari Virtual server adalah VMWare, dimana setiap operating system maupun aplikasi software dapat berdiri sendiri tanpa saling mengganggu (multitasking), dan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi administrator yang memegang peranan dalam me-maintenance resource yang ada.Virtualization VMware juga membantu mengurangi perbelanjaan modal melalui konsolidasi server dan memperbaiki beban usaha melalui otomatisasi, sementara memperkecil kehilangan pendapatan dengan mengurangi down time baik yang direncanakan maupun yang tidak direncanakan. Guna mendapatkan manfaat secara keseluruhan yang sama besarnya bagi datacenter itu sendiri. Secara keseluruhan infrastruktur virtualisasi menggunakan VMware vCloud Suite dalam merangkum, mengelompokkan, dan mengotomatisasikan semua sumber-sumber daya datacenter baik itu berupa server, storage, networking, keamanan, dan ketersediaan, dan menggabungkan semuanya dalam manajemen operasi secara otomatis.Hasilnya adalah Software-Defined Datacenter: yaitu sebuah platform infrastruktur yang dapat memberikan efisiensi penuh dan kecerdasan dalam cloud computing. Kata Kunci : VMware, Server, Data Center, Virtual Technology. Server virtualization is one solution that is considered to be very useful for most people, so it is developed by virtuals server by certain software developers. One manifestation of the virtual server is VMWare , where each operating system and application software can stand alone without disturbing each other ( multitasking ) , and is very useful for administrators who play a role in their maintenance of existing resources .VMware virtualization helps to reduce capital expenses through server consolidation and improve operating expenses through automation, while minimizing lost revenue by reducing both planned and unplanned downtime. To achieve the same magnitude of benefits for the datacenter as a whole, virtualize the entire infrastructure: use VMware vCloud Suite to abstract, pool, and automate all datacenter resources servers, storage, networking, security, and availability and combine them with automated operations management and policy based provisioning.The result is a Software - Defined Datacenter : namely an infrastructure platform that can deliver full efficiency and intelligence in cloud computing .
