Abstract

afaik application that made for mobile devices with Android operating system is an application that provide maximum of 10 best rating movie recommendations . The best value rating is derived from calculations that are in the server . Components that used in this calculation is the distance of the user to the nearest theater , movie ratings , tickets price , and movie showtimes . User's distance to the theater obtained from the detection of the location of the user in the form of latitude and longitude values that performed utilizing with GPS services of mobile devices. While movie ratings , tickets price , and movie showtimes obtained from the Jafaik Application Programming Interface ( API ), also known as www.api.jafaik.com . All of these components will undergo to the process of calculation to produce rating score that will determine rank in displaying Jafaik recommendations . Calculation results that obtained from the calculations on the server will be sent to mobile devices along with information about the movie in JSON format . Key words : Movie, Rating, Recomendations, API, JSON. Aplikasi Jafaik yang dibuat untuk perangkat bergerak berbasis Android adalah sebuah aplikasi yang berfungsi untuk memberikan maksimal 10 rekomendasi film dengan rating terbaik. Nilai rating terbaik ini berasal dari kalkulasi yang berada di server. Komponen yang digunakan dalam kalkulasi ini adalah jarak pengguna ke teater terdekat, rating film, harga tiket masuk, serta jam tayang film. Jarak pengguna ke teater didapat dari hasil deteksi lokasi pengguna berupa nilai latitude dan longitude yang dilakukan perangkat bergerak dengan memanfaatkan layanan GPS. Sedangkan rating film, harga tiket masuk, serta jam tayang film didapat dari Application Programming Interface (API) Jafaik, yaitu www.api.jafaik.com. Semua komponen ini akan mengalami proses kalkulasi untuk menghasilkan skor rating Jafaik yang akan menentukan peringkat dalam menampilkan rekomendasi Jafaik. Hasil kalkulasi yang didapatkan dari hasil kalkulasi pada server ini akan dikirimkan ke perangkat bergerak bersama dengan informasi mengenai film dalam format JSON.
