Abstract

Technology designed to facilitate human activity. With technology we can do things more easily and quickly. If the earlier times we had to go to the store to shop, we can now shop from home using the internet and online stores. So by booking tickets. If in earlier times we had to go to the ticket sales counters, now many applications that make it easy to order tickets from home, even from anywhere as long as it is connected to the internet. The emerging technology is strengthened by the presence of Android. Based on open source operating system made by Google is warmly welcomed by lovers of the various layers of technology. Operating system android mobile devices popping up, and led to great interest for the writer to develop Android-based applications. PO Armada Jaya Perkasa is a company engaged in transportation services. For decades the company has been serving the service ground transportation across the province. Applications android-based ticket booking bus aims to facilitate customers in making reservations tickets in PO Armada Jaya Perkasa. Teknologi dirancang untuk memfasilitasi aktivitas manusia. Dengan teknologi kita bisa melakukan hal-hal lebih mudah dan cepat. Jika dahulu kita harus pergi ke toko untuk berbelanja, namun sekarang kita dapat berbelanja dari rumah menggunakan internet dan toko online, begitu pula dengan pemesanan tiket. Dahulu kita harus pergi ke loket penjualan tiket, namun sekarang banyak aplikasi yang memudahkan untuk memesan tiket dari rumah, bahkan dari mana saja asalkan terhubung ke internet. Kemunculan teknologi diperkuat dengan kemunculan teknologi mobile Android. Sistem operasi open source buatan Google ini disambut hangat oleh pecinta teknologi dari berbagai lapisan teknologi. Aplikasi-aplikasi berbasis Android pun bermunculan menyebabkan minat yang besar bagi penulis untuk mengembangkan aplikasi berbasis Android ini. P.O. Armada Jaya Perkasa adalah sebuah Perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang penyediaan jasa transportasi darat, yang melayani kemanapun tujuan di seluruh pelosok Nusantara. Aplikasi pemesanan tiket bus berbasis Android bertujuan untuk memudahkan pelanggan dalam melakukan pemesanan tiket di P.O. Armada Jaya Perkasa.
