Abstract

Tujuan penelitian pada departemen PPIC di PT. XYZ adalah untuk menganalisis kebutuhan informasi production planning inventory control yang dibutuhkan sehingga dapat digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dan mendukung kegiatan operasional pada departemen terkait. Selain itu juga merancang suatu aplikasi data warehouse production planning inventory control untuk membantu para SPV dan Dept.Head dalam melihat berbagai laporan dan pengambilan keputusan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah dengan cara interview ke pihak yang bersangkutan, melakukan observasi sistem yang sedang berjalan, dan melakukan studi pustaka untuk bahan referensi pengerjaan skripsi. Selain itu juga digunakan Nine-Step Methodology perancangan data warehouse. Hasil yang dicapai dari penelitian adalah sebuah aplikasi data warehouse yang dapat menghasilkan kebutuhan informasi production planning inventory control secara ringkas, akurat, tepat, dan bermanfaat. Dengan adanya aplikasi data warehouse, penyediaan laporan dan akses informasi production planning inventory control dapat dilakukan secara tepat, sehingga dapat membantu dalam proses analisis dan pengambilan keputusan pada departemen PPIC. The aim of research at PPIC department at PT. XYZ is to analyze the information needs of production planning inventory control is needed so it can be used to solve problems and support the operational activities of the departments concerned. In addition, designing a data warehouse application production planning inventory control to help the SPV and Dept.Head in view various reports and decision-making. The method used is to interview all parties concerned, to observe the current system, and to study literature to reference material workmanship thesis. It is also used Nine - Step Methodology of designing a data warehouse. The results obtained from the study is a data warehouse application that can generate the information needs of production planning inventory control is concise, accurate, precise and useful. This study is the absence of data warehouse applications, providing access to reports and information production planning inventory control can be done properly, so that it can assist in the process of analysis and decision-making at the PPIC department .
