Abstract
This design project aims to plan a Health Institute in an urban area of Tangerang Regency by applying eco-friendly architectural principles through a contextual approach. The background of this design is based on the rapid development of educational areas that have not fully considered environmental balance, thus requiring a higher education institution design that is not only functional but also sustainable and responsive to site characteristics. The design variables include the implementation of energy efficiency, utilization of natural lighting and ventilation, rainwater management, selection of environmentally friendly materials, and mass arrangement that responds to the tropical climate and surrounding conditions. The method used is an architectural design approach based on site analysis, literature studies, precedent studies, and spatial requirement analysis according to health higher education standards. The design result produces an institute concept with clear zoning, efficient circulation, integration of green open spaces, and building systems that support thermal comfort and indoor environmental quality. In conclusion, the application of eco-friendly architecture with a contextual approach is able to create an energy-efficient, environmentally friendly campus environment that supports learning, research, and social interaction in a sustainable manner. Perancangan ini bertujuan merancang Institut Kesehatan di kawasan perkotaan Kabupaten Tangerang dengan menerapkan prinsip arsitektur ecofriendly melalui pendekatan kontekstual. Latar belakang perancangan didasari oleh pesatnya perkembangan kawasan pendidikan yang belum sepenuhnya memperhatikan keseimbangan lingkungan, sehingga dibutuhkan rancangan institusi pendidikan tinggi yang tidak hanya fungsional, tetapi juga berkelanjutan dan selaras dengan karakter tapak. Variabel perancangan meliputi penerapan efisiensi energi, pemanfaatan pencahayaan dan ventilasi alami, pengelolaan air hujan, pemilihan material ramah lingkungan, serta penataan massa bangunan yang responsif terhadap iklim tropis dan kondisi sekitar. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan perancangan arsitektur berbasis analisis tapak, studi literatur, studi preseden, serta analisis kebutuhan ruang sesuai standar pendidikan tinggi kesehatan. Hasil perancangan menghasilkan konsep institut yang memiliki zonasi jelas, sirkulasi efisien, integrasi ruang terbuka hijau, serta sistem bangunan yang mendukung kenyamanan termal dan kualitas lingkungan dalam ruang. Kesimpulannya, penerapan arsitektur eco-friendly dengan pendekatan kontekstual mampu menciptakan lingkungan kampus yang hemat energi, ramah lingkungan, serta mendukung proses pembelajaran, penelitian, dan interaksi sosial secara berkelanjutan.
