Abstract

Urban farming activities, particularly hydroponics, are influenced by weather and environmental conditions. Members of the Wijaya Kusuma Women Farmers Group (KWT) still face difficulties in understanding weather information and translating it into planting time decisions. This study aims to design and evaluate the user interface of a weather prediction-based hydroponic planting time recommendation system. The research uses the Design Thinking method, consisting of five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test. The recommendation system uses a Random Forest Classifier to classify rainfall conditions and Fuzzy Logic Mamdani to determine planting feasibility based on temperature, humidity, and rainfall classification results. The interface was evaluated with 22 respondents using Task Success Rate, System Usability Scale (SUS), User Experience Questionnaire Short (UEQ-Short), and responsiveness testing on different screen sizes. The results showed an average Task Success Rate of 100%, a SUS score of 89.88, and an overall UEQ-Short score of 1.830. Responsiveness testing on the Samsung Galaxy A56 5G and a tablet viewport of 768 × 1024 pixels showed that the layout, navigation, and information readability could be used properly on the tested screen sizes. These results indicate that the interface design can help KWT members understand weather information and planting time recommendations more easily. Kegiatan pertanian perkotaan (urban farming), khususnya hidroponik, dipengaruhi oleh kondisi cuaca dan lingkungan. Anggota Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Wijaya Kusuma masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami informasi cuaca dan menerjemahkannya menjadi keputusan waktu tanam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengevaluasi antarmuka pengguna pada sistem rekomendasi waktu tanam hidroponik berbasis prediksi cuaca. Metode yang digunakan adalah Design Thinking yang terdiri dari tahapan Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, dan Test. Sistem rekomendasi menggunakan Random Forest Classifier untuk mengklasifikasikan kondisi hujan dan Fuzzy Logic Mamdani untuk menentukan kelayakan waktu tanam berdasarkan suhu, kelembapan, dan hasil klasifikasi hujan. Evaluasi antarmuka dilakukan terhadap 22 responden menggunakan Task Success Rate, System Usability Scale (SUS), User Experience Questionnaire Short (UEQShort), serta pengujian responsivitas pada perangkat dengan ukuran layar yang berbeda. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan rata-rata Task Success Rate sebesar 100%, nilai SUS sebesar 89,88, dan nilai keseluruhan UEQ-Short sebesar 1,830. Pengujian responsivitas pada Samsung Galaxy A56 5G dan viewport tablet 768 × 1024 piksel menunjukkan bahwa tata letak, navigasi, dan keterbacaan informasi dapat digunakan dengan baik. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rancangan antarmuka dapat membantu pengguna KWT memahami informasi cuaca dan rekomendasi waktu tanam dengan lebih mudah.
