Abstract

This research is intended to build the application based on web and supported by SMS Gateway as the service for parents in supervising the study progress of their children in Mercu Buana University. This application was built by using Apache XAMPP as web server, PHP as programming language and MySQL for database. The method used in this research was Waterfall, started with the analysis of the system requirements, design the application, coding and implementation. The result showed that the application could help the parents to monitor the study of the student and payment status using SMS request and direct access to web. Keyword : Notification, SMS Gateway, study progress, payment status, web based Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk membuat aplikasi web dengan fitur SMS Gateway yang mendukungnya sebagai layanan untuk orangtua dalam memonitor kemajuan studi anaknya di kampus Universitas Mercu Buana. Aplikasi ini dibangun dengan Apache XAMPP sebagai web server, PHP sebagai bahasa pemrograman berbasis web dan MySql sebagai perancangan basis data aplikasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode Waterfall, mulai dari analisis sistem, desain aplikasi, pengcodingan dan implementasi aplikasi. Hasil dari pembuatan aplikasi ini dapat membantu orangtua dalam memonitor hasil studi mahasiswa dan status pembayaran dengan menggunakan layanan SMS request dan akses langsung ke halaman web aplikasi.
