Abstract

Delays in completing job orders in the milling process can affect production effectiveness and the achievement of company targets. This study aims to identify the factors causing delays, determine problem priorities, and analyze the main root causes in the milling process. The methods used were the Ishikawa Diagram, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Pareto Diagram, and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). The results showed that the delays were influenced by machine, material, method, and man factors. Based on the FMEA analysis, three different job orders entering a single process had the highest RPN value of 180, followed by machine overheating with an RPN value of 168, tool damage with an RPN value of 160, and unreadable CAD design data with an RPN value of 120. Pareto analysis showed that these four factors contributed 71.4% of the total causes of delays. Furthermore, FTA revealed that the root causes were inadequate production planning, ineffective production scheduling, unbalanced machine capacity, and poor interdepartmental coordination. Therefore, improvements in job order management, production scheduling, and interdepartmental coordination are needed to minimize delays in the milling process. Keywords: Milling process delay, job order, FMEA, Pareto Diagram, Fault Tree Keterlambatan penyelesaian job order pada proses milling dapat memengaruhi efektivitas produksi dan pencapaian target perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab keterlambatan, menentukan prioritas permasalahan, dan menganalisis akar penyebab utama pada proses milling. Metode yang digunakan meliputi Diagram Ishikawa, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Diagram Pareto, dan Fault Tree Analysis (FTA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlambatan dipengaruhi oleh faktor machine, material, method, dan man. Berdasarkan analisis FMEA, faktor tiga job order berbeda yang masuk dalam satu proses memiliki nilai RPN tertinggi sebesar 180, diikuti oleh overheating pada mesin sebesar 168, kerusakan tools sebesar 160, dan design CAD yang tidak terbaca sebesar 120. Hasil Diagram Pareto menunjukkan bahwa keempat faktor tersebut berkontribusi sebesar 71,4% terhadap total penyebab keterlambatan. Sementara itu, hasil FTA menunjukkan bahwa akar permasalahan berasal dari perencanaan produksi yang kurang optimal, penjadwalan produksi yang belum teratur, ketidakseimbangan kapasitas mesin, dan koordinasi antar departemen yang belum efektif. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan perbaikan pada pengelolaan job order, penjadwalan produksi, dan koordinasi antar departemen untuk meminimalkan keterlambatan proses milling.
