Abstract

In this massive development of automotive era, many users feel not enough satisfy with their vehicle especially for Vespa user. Two-wheelers vehicle like Vespa has bad performance in order their lifespan and worn-out engine components that affecting its component become not maximal. One of things that affecting engine performance is Cylinder Kit which located in engine itself and has different sizes. The purpose of this research is knowing the effect by replacing Cylinder Vespa with using 144cc Cylinder Kit Quattrini of power and torque by Dyno Test for knowing how much will happen to Vespa PTS. Certainly by conducted several disassembly steps and tuning when assembling 144cc Cylinder Kit Quattrini of Vespa PTS engine. Testing methods are carried out in accordance with stages & procedures. The results of dynotest method are produced graphic data and tables that contained power, torque & RPM. From the results of the dynotest test, the replacement of the Vespa PTS cylinder block with the Quattrini Cylinder Kit and also the replacement of the carburetor greatly affects the value of power and torque on the engine, where the power analysis is higher than the Vespa Excel 150cc which reaches a maximum power of 5.2 HP at 7,739 rotation. RPM, while the Quattrini 144cc Cylinder Kit reaches a maximum power of 18.4 HP at 7,459 RPM, a difference of 13.2 HP. Likewise with the effect of higher torque than the Vespa Excel 150cc where it reaches a maximum torque of 6.4 Nm at 5,264 RPM, while the Quattrini 144cc Cylinder Kit reaches a maximum torque of 18.2 Nm at 6,876 RPM rotation, a difference of 11.8 Keywords: Vespa 150cc, 144cc Cylinder Kit Quattrini, Dynotest, Power, Torque. Di era perkembangan dunia otomotif yang sangat ramai sekarang banyak pengguna kendaraan merasa kurang puas dengan performa kendaraannya khususnya pada sepeda motor Vespa. Performa kendaraan sepeda motor roda dua jenis Vespa ini berkurang dikarenakan usia dan komponen mesin yang aus sehingga kerja komponen itu kurang maksimal. Salah satu hal yang mempengaruhi performa mesin yaitu Cylinder Kit yang terdapat pada mesin dimana silinder ini memiliki ukuran yang berbeda-beda. Tujuan penelitian ini bagaimana pengaruh penggantian Cylinder Vespa dengan menggunakan Cylinder Kit Quattrini 144cc terhadap daya dan torsi dengan menggunakan pengujian Dynotest untuk mengetahui seberapa besar yang terjadi pada mesin Vespa PTS. Tentunya dengan melakukan beberapa tahapan pelepasan dan penyesuaian ketika pemasangan Cylinder Kit Quattrini 144cc terhadap mesin Vespa PTS. Metode pengujian dilakukan sesuai dengan tahapan dan prosedur. Hasil dari metode pengujian dynotest menghasilkan data grafik dan tabel yang didalamnya terdapat daya, torsi dan rpm. Dari hasil pengujian dynotest penggantian blok silinder Vespa PTS dengan Cylinder Kit Quattrini dan juga penggantian karburator sangat berpengaruh pada nilai daya dan torsi pada engine tersebut, dimana didapat analisa daya lebih tinggi daripada Vespa Excel 150cc dimana mencapai daya maksimum sebesar 5,2 HP pada putaran 7.739 RPM, sedangkan Cylinder Kit Quattrini 144cc mencapai daya maksimum sebesar 18,4 HP pada putaran 7.459 RPM selisih 13,2 HP. Begitupun dengan pengaruh torsi lebih tinggi daripada Vespa Excel 150cc dimana mencapai torsi maksimum sebesar 6,4 Nm pada putaran 5.264RPM, sedangkan Cylinder Kit Quattrini 144cc mencapai torsi maksimum sebesar 18,2 Nm pada putaran 6.876 RPM selisih 11,8.
