Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between resilience and anxiety levels among Jakarta karate athletes before competition. Using a quantitative approach and accidental sampling technique, this study involved 156 athletes. Correlational analysis results show that resilience is negatively and significantly related to anxiety. Athletes are advised to actively practice emotional and mental management skills, such as recognizing signs of cognitive anxiety, replacing negative thoughts with positive affirmations, and utilizing support from coaches and teammates before competing. Steps that can be taken include integrating emotional regulation training programs into the routine training process. Such programs can include breathing control exercises, mindfulness, positive self-talk, and simulations of stressful competition situations, so that athletes become accustomed to managing negative emotions and thoughts before competing. Keywords: Resilience, Anxiety Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui adanya Hubungan Resiliensi dengan Tingkat Kecemasan Atlet Karate Jakarta pada Saat Sebelum Bertanding. Dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan teknik accidental sampling, penelitian ini melibatkan 156 atlet. Hasil analisis korelasional menunjukkan bahwa Resiliensi berhubungan negatif dan signifikan dengan Kecemasan. Atlet disarankan untuk secara aktif melatih keterampilan pengelolaan emosi dan pikiran, seperti mengenali tanda-tanda kecemasan kognitif, mengganti pikiran negatif dengan afirmasi positif, serta memanfaatkan dukungan dari pelatih dan rekan tim sebelum bertanding. Langkah yang dapat dilakukan yaitu mengintegrasikan program pelatihan regulasi emosi ke dalam proses latihan rutin. Program tersebut dapat berupa latihan breathing control, mindfulness, self-talk positif, dan simulasi situasi pertandingan yang menekan, sehingga atlet terbiasa mengelola emosi dan pikiran negatif sebelum bertanding.
