Abstract
The Google Meet platform is a popular video communication application, one of which can be used as a tool for distance learning. The teacher motivator program uses digital communication technology to encourage the transformation of learning methods in order to overcome educational quality gaps between regions, including remote areas, and between educational units in terms of teacher quality, motivation, and learning practices. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has selected the Google Meet platform to facilitate the Teacher Leader Program online. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of the Google Meet platform as a learning medium on the motivation and competency improvement of Teacher Leaders. This study employs John B. Watson's behaviorist communication theory and the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) theory. The research paradigm is positivistic. This is a quantitative study using a survey method. Random sampling technique was employed. The questionnaire was distributed to 139 teacher leaders in Sukabumi Regency. The results of the study show that 1) the Google Meet platform has a positive and significant influence on motivation with a regression coefficient of 1.052, 2) the Google Meet platform has a positive influence on increasing the competence of driving teachers with a regression coefficient of 1.570, 3) Motivation has a significant influence on increasing the competence of driving teachers with a regression coefficient of 1.395. The results of the study show that the Google Meet platform has a significant influence on motivation and increasing the competence of driving teachers. This finding proves that the stimulus in the form of online learning technology is able to shape positive teacher behavior in the form of higher motivation and competence, in accordance with the principles of behaviorism theory. Behaviorism theory strengthens the argument that communication through digital media not only functions as a means of conveying information, but also as a tool for behavioral change in the educational process. Keywords: Google Meet Platform, Motivation, Teacher Competence, Behaviorism Theory, S-O-R Theory Platform google meet adalah aplikasi komunikasi video yang populer, salah satunya bisa digunakan sebagai alat komunikasi pembelajaran jarak jauh. Program guru penggerak menggunakan teknologi komunikasi digital untuk mendorong transformasi metode pembelajaran, untuk dapat mengatasi kesenjangan mutu pendidikan antar wilayah termasuk wilayah terpencil, dan antar satuan pendidikan dalam hal kualitas guru, motivasi, dan praktik pembelajaran. Kementerian Pendidikan Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi memilih platform google meet untuk memfasilitasi program pendidikan guru penggerak secara daring. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh platform google meet sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap motivasi dan peningkatan kompetensi guru penggerak. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori komunikasi behaviorisme dari John B. Watson dan Teori Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR). Paradigma penelitian adalah positivistik. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif yang menggunakan metode survei. Dengan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Kuesioner didistribusikan kepada 139 guru penggerak Kabupaten Sukabumi. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa 1) Platform google meet memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 1.052, 2) Platform google meet memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru penggerak dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 1.570, 3) Motivasi berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru penggerak dengan koefisien regresi sebesar 1.395. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa platform google meet berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi dan peningkatan kompetensi guru penggerak. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa stimulus berupa teknologi pembelajaran daring mampu membentuk perilaku positif guru dalam bentuk motivasi dan peningkatan kompetensi guru penggerak, sesuai dengan prinsip teori behaviorisme.Teori behaviorisme memperkuat argumentasi bahwa komunikasi melalui media digital tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai sarana penyampaian informasi, tetapi juga sebagai alat perubahan perilaku dalam proses pendidikan.
