Abstract
Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport open the Check-In area as a Transition Area that provide supporting facilities for the visitors both non passangers and passangers. The design of this Terminal 3 check-in area is not accordance with the standard which is issued by Badan Standarisasi Nasional. Based on Badan Standarisasi Nasional, check-in area is a steril area which only passangers can enter and prohibited to the non passengers. The purpose of this research is to know whether the design of Terminal 3 which is not accordance with the Badan Standarisasi Nasional disrupts the process of passangers Check-In flow. Behavioral Mapping is the method that was used in this research. Research about the process of passangers check in flow and non passangers activities in the check-in area have never been done. The result of this research showed that Check-In activities work well even though the Check-In area was also functioned as a transition area that is not prohibited to the non-passangers. Keyword: Terminal 3, Check-In Area, Transition Area, Behavioral Mapping. Terminal 3 Bandara Soekarno-Hatta membuka area check-in sebagai ruang transisi yang menyediakan fasilitas penunjang bagi para pengunjung baik non penumpang maupun penumpang pesawat. Desain area check-in Terminal 3 ini tidak sesuai dengan standard yang dikeluarkan oleh Badan Standarisasi Nasional. Menurut Badan Standarisasi Nasional, area check-in adalah area steril yang hanya bisa dimasuki oleh penumpang pesawat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah desain Terminal 3 yang tidak sesuai standard Badan Standarisasi Nasional mengganggu proses aliran check-in penumpang. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemetaan perilaku berdasarkan tempat. Penelitian tentang proses aliran penumpang dan kegiatan non penumpang di area check-in terminal bandara belum pernah dilakukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kegiatan check-in tetap berlangsung dengan baik meskipun ruang check-in juga berfungsi sebagai ruang transisi yang dapat dimasuki oleh pengunjung non penumpang (pengantar).
