Abstract

Dalam pengangkutan barang ataupun dalam proses pengiriman barang di lintas Jakarta – Purwokerto, secara umum masih di dominasi oleh angkutan truk dikarenakan saat ini banyaknya ekspedisi pengiriman barang yang memberikan kemudahan dan pelayanan jasa yang menarik. Selain itu, seiring berjalannya waktu pengangkutan barang dengan Kereta Api juga tidak kalah menarik dibandingkan dengan pengangkutan menggunakan truk, dimana angkutan Kereta Api pada saat ini sudah mulai lebih modern dan lebih mengutamakan pelayanan prima yang akan diberikan kepada pengguna jasa. Data yang diperlukan dalam melakukan Analisa Perbandingan Angkutan Barang Umum Moda Kereta Api dan Moda Jalan Raya Relasi Jakarta – Purwokerto ini adalah data primer berupa hasil survey pengguna jasa angkutan barang dengan menggunakan metode kuesioner. Selain itu diperlukan juga data sekunder yang diperoleh dari PT. Kalog dalam pengolahan data. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan pengujian Analisis Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). Dari hasil penelitian dan analisis yang dilakukan pada perbandingan angkutan barang moda kereta api dan moda jalan raya sebagai operator angkutan barang perlu melakukan langkah strategis untuk meningkatkan pelayanan, sehingga masyarakat dapat tertarik untuk menggunakan layanan angkutan barang masing-masing moda, serta Pemerintah Pusat dan Pemerintah Daerah ikut bertanggung jawab dalam upaya pengoptimalan penggunaan angkutan barang.
