Abstract

PT. XYZ is a company engaged in printing and advertising that produces several print media such as banners, billboards, banners, posters, and others. Business processes that exist in PT. XYZ is serving some good customers from a company as well as individuals. Order request process and production process is still using a manual method by using job order (JO) as the reference in the process. This research is done so that the work system no longer use manual way but with a production scheduling application system where all the process will be done through computerization. Production scheduling applications will be created using the Shortest Remaining First (SRF) scheduling algorithm whereby this algorithm will run the process with the lowest running time remaining. From the research results obtained a calculation of the production time of each order made by the system and the system will automatically select the machine from two machines available by checking the machine that has the least production time. This production scheduling application is expected to make work more organized and systematic. XYZ adalah merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang percetakan dan periklanan yang memproduksi beberapa media cetak seperti banner, baliho, spanduk, poster dan lain-lain. Proses bisnis yang ada pada PT. XYZ yaitu melayani beberapa pelanggan baik itu dari sebuah perusahaan maupun perorangan. Proses permintaan pesanan dan proses pengerjaan produksinya masih menggunakan cara manual dengan menggunakan job order (JO) sebagai acuan dalam pengerjaannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan agar sistem kerja tidak lagi menggunakan cara manual melainkan dengan sebuah sistem aplikasi penjadwalan produksi dimana semua proses akan dilakukan melalui komputerisasi. Aplikasi penjadwalan produksi yang akan dibuat menggunakan algoritma penjadwalan Shortest Remaining First (SRF) dimana algoritma ini akan menjalankan proses dengan sisa waktu jalan terendah. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan perhitungan waktu produksi dari setiap pesanan yang dilakukan oleh sistem dan sistem akan otomatis memilih mesin dari dua mesin yang tersedia dengan melakukan pengecekan mesin yang mempunyai waktu produksi paling sedikit. Aplikasi penjadwalan produksi ini diharapkan dapat membuat pekerjaan menjadi lebih teratur dan sistematis.
