Abstract

Fire is a factor that is always taken into account in the design of the building every building be it private, commercial or public building or a factory. Of course there are different classifications regarding the potential prevention of fire between a building that is intended for a private residence with a building created for paper manufacturing plant for example. A company that is in the process involves a lot of material and activities that can lead to more stringent fire standards and procedures for the prevention and control of fire hazards. Realizing the magnitude of the risk and impact of a fire at the company's manufacturing standards that apply generally high enough to anticipate the danger. As performed by PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper is engaged in the manufacture of paper, which is defined areas vulnerable to fire alarm system installed there using automation systems. Moreover implemented strict regulations concerning things that can cause a fire. The combination of the smoke detector and smoke detector control system PLC (Programmable Logic Control) as well as a display for the operator in the form of Mimic Panels generate anticipation and a fire warning system to minimize the effects that could arise. However, along with the rise of technology installed now thats not optimal and needs to be modified with the design and refinement back. Development of technology that will be applied also needs to be combined with the results of analysis by Risk Management / Risk Management to obtain optimal results. Risk management will measure the probability and the impact on the company's assets from a fire. SCADA system is the right system will be used to improve the system installed now. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) is one of the results of the integration of automation components that are used to monitor and control the processes that occur in the field. SCADA and control capable of presenting information in realtime, giving users convenience. Based on conversations with the PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper, obtained some needs that required teritegrasi SCADA systems as a monitoring system that is easy, inexpensive and efficient Keywords: Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), Fire, automation Programmable Logic Control (PLC), Smoke Detector, Mimic Panels Kebakaran adalah suatu faktor yang selalu diperhitungkan dalam setiap perancangan bangunan baik itu bangunan pribadi, komersil atau umum maupun sebuah bangunan pabrik. Tentu ada klasifikasi berbeda mengenai pencegahan potensi kebakaran antara sebuah bangunan yang diperuntukan untuk tempat tinggal pribadi dengan sebuah bangunan yang dibuat untuk pabrik pembuatan kertas misalnya. Sebuah perusahaan yang didalam prosesnya banyak melibatkan material dan aktifitas yang dapat memicu terjadinya kebakaran akan lebih ketat terhadap standar maupun prosedur pencegahan dan penanggulangan bahaya kebakaran. Menyadari besarnya resiko dan dampak dari sebuah kebakaran maka perusahaan manufaktur pada umumnya menerapkan standar yang cukup tinggi untuk mengantisipasi bahaya tersebut. Seperti yang dilakukan oleh PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper yang bergerak dibidang pembuatan kertas, area-area yang didefinisikan rentan disana dipasang sistem alarm kebakaran menggunakan sistem otomasi. Selain itu diterapkan peraturan yang ketat menyangkut hal-hal yang dapat menjadi pemicu terjadinya kebakaran. Kombinasi antara alat pendeteksi asap yaitu smoke detector dan sistem pengendali terpogram PLC (Programmable Logic Control) serta sebuah display untuk operator berupa Mimic Panel menghasilkan suatu sistem antisipasi dan peringatan kebakaran untuk meminimalkan efek yang bisa timbul. Namun demikian seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi sistem yang terpasang sekarang dirasa sudah tidak optimal dan perlu modifikasi disertai perancangan serta penyempurnaan kembali. Perkembangan teknologi yang nantinya diterapkan juga perlu dikombinasikan dengan hasil analisa melalui Manajemen Resiko/Risk Management untuk didapat hasil yang optimal. Manajemen resiko akan mengukur probabilitas dan dampak terhadap aset perusahaan dari sebuah kebakaran. Sistem SCADA merupakan sistem yang tepat untuk nantinya digunakan menyempurnakan sistem yang terpasang sekarang. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) adalah salah satu hasil dari pengintegrasian komponen otomasi yang digunakan untuk memonitor dan mengontrol proses yang terjadi di lapangan.
