Sedangkan yang terjadi sekarang pembangunan FTTH menggunakan teknologi Cascading memakan waktu konstruksi yang lebih lama, human resource yang lebih banyak, serta nilai link budget yang patut diperhitungkan demi kelayakan jaringan FTTH. Pre-Connection ODN bisa menjadi salah satu teknologi baru dibidang FTTH yang bisa menjadi salah satu jawaban dari kendala yang terjadi pada teknologi cascading. Penelitian ini mencakup perhitungan kelayakan jaringan FTTH (Fiber to the Home) dan dari segi finansial CAPEX,OPEX, NPV ( Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), Nilai Depresiasi, dan PayBack Period perbandingan kedua teknologi yaitu Cascading dan Pre-Connection ODN. Untuk melihat apakah teknologi terbaru cukup layak untuk mengatasi masalah yang ada sekarang dari segi kelayakan jaringan dan bisnis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknologi Pre-Connection ODN dapat mengatasi masalah dalam implementasi serta dari segi bisnis. Berdasarkan analisis perhitungan Link Budget nilai Power Link Budget Teknologi Pre- Connection sebesar 24,8 dB, dengan Power Receiver -21,8 dB. Nilai bisnis teknologi ini juga 64% lebih menguntungkan dalam segi proyeksi revenue dibanding dengan teknologi Cascading. Dengan NPV sebesar Rp. 312,938,087, serta nilai IRR sebesar 36,90%, membuat PayBack Period teknologi Pre- Connection lebih cepat 13 bulan yatu dalam 1 tahun 5 bulan. The demand in the telecommunications industry is growing rapidly, especially in the field of Optical Fiber Communication Systems. Currently, the construction of FTTH using Cascading technology takes longer, requires more human resources, and the link budget needs to be carefully considered for the feasibility of the FTTH network. Pre-Connection ODN could be a new technology in the FTTH field that may provide a solution to the challenges faced with Cascading technology. This research includes the feasibility calculation of an FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network from both a technical and financial perspective, covering aspects such as CAPEX (Capital Expenditures), OPEX (Operational Expenditures), NPV (Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), Depreciation Value, and Payback Period. The comparison will be made between two technologies: Cascading and Pre-Connection ODN. The goal is to assess whether the new technology is viable enough to address the current challenges in terms of both network feasibility and business viability. The results of this study indicate that Pre-Connection ODN technology effectively addresses the implementation challenges as well as business considerations. Based on the Link Budget calculation, the Power Link Budget for the Pre-Connection technology is 24.8 dB, with a Receiver Power of -28.3 dB. From a business perspective, this technology is 64% more profitable in terms of revenue projection compared to the Cascading technology. With an NPV of IDR 312,938,087 and an IRR of 36.90%, the Payback Period for the Pre-Connection technology is 13 months faster, achieving a return in 1 year and 5 months.
