description: In today's digital age, social media and video sharing have become the  main channels for the public to access and discuss various political and social  issues. The documentary film titled “Dirty Vote” highlights the challenges faced  in maintaining the integrity of elections. The purpose of this study is to identify  and analyze the perceptions of Broadcasting students from the 2021 cohort at  Mercu Buana University Jakarta regarding the film “Dirty Vote 2024.”  The theory applied in this study is Stuart Hall's Reception Theory,  specifically the Encoding-Decoding Theory. This theory encompasses three  interpretations according to Hall: Dominant-Hegemonic, Negotiation, and  Opposition. These interpretations are used to analyze the audience's  understanding of the documentary film “Dirty Vote 2024.”  The paradigm used is constructivism with a qualitative approach. Data  collection techniques include interviews with five informants who are  Broadcasting students from the 2021 cohort at Mercu Buana University and have  watched the film “Dirty Vote 2024,” which serves as primary data, along with  documentation and literature sources as secondary data. Data validity techniques  use source triangulation. The results of this study indicate that students  predominantly occupy a dominant position, particularly regarding issues such as  the lack of neutrality among public officials, the misuse of the law by the  Constitutional Court, and the exploitation of social assistance for political  purposes. in the negotiation position, some students accepted most of the  messages from the film but still criticized certain parts, particularly regarding the  appointment of local officials, and in the opposition position, no informants  completely rejected the story presented in the film Dirty Vote 2024.  Keywords : Reception Analysis, Dirty Vote 2024    Di era digital saat ini, media sosial dan berbagi video telah menjadi  saluran utama bagi publik untuk mengakses dan membahas berbagai masalah  politik dan sosial. Film dokumenter bertajuk “Dirty Vote” menyoroti tantangan  yang dihadapi dalam menjaga integritas pemilu. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk  mengetahui dan menganalisis Pemakaan Pada Mahasiswa Broadcasting Angkatan  2021 Universitas Mercu Buana Jakarta dalam Film “Dirty Vote 2024” .  Penerpapan teori dalam penelitian ini, yaitu teori Resepsi menurut Stuart  Hall, melalui teori Encoding - Decoding. Dengan meliputi tiga pemaknaan  menurut hall, diantaranya Dominan - Hegemoni, Negosiasi dan Oposisi. Dalam  menganalisis pemaknaan audiens terhadap film dokumenter Dirty Vote 2024.  Paradigma yang digunakan yaitu konstruktivisme dengan pendekatan  kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara yang diikuti oleh lima  informan yang merupakan mahasiswa Universitas Mercu Buana Bidang Studi  Broadcasting angkatan 2021 dan sudah menonton film Dirty Vote 2024 yang  diperoleh sebagai data primer, serta dokumentasi dan sumber literatur sebagai data  sekunder. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangualasi sumber.  Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam posisi dominan  mahasiswa mendominasi berada dalam posisi ini, terutama dalam hal-hal seperti  ketidaknetralan pejabat publik, penyalahgunaan hukum oleh Mahkamah  Konstitusi, dan pemanfaatan bantuan sosial untuk tujuan politik, dalam posisi  negosiasi beberapa mahasiswa menerima sebagian besar pesan dari film, tetapi  tetap memberikan kritik terhadap beberapa bagian, terutama mengenai  pengangkatan pejabat daerah, dan pada posisi oposisi tidak ada informan yang  sepenuhnya menolak cerita yang ada dalam film Dirty Vote 2024.
