Abstract

Electric power systems in Indonesia designed to work at the frequency of 50 Hz, but certain types of nonlinear load-load can lead to the formation of waves at high frequencies which are the multiples of the frequency of the fundamental known as harmonic distortion. This can interfere with electrical systems, especially at the distribution transformer. Harmonics currents result in warming on parts of the transformer, resulting in an increase in loss-loss and a decrease in efficiency on the transformer leads to a decrease in capacity (Derating). Based on the results of the measurement of power quality and comparison with IEEE 519-1992 then in the Tower of distribution transformer in the Kompas Jakarta for his current THD value exceeds the standards in allow. This indicates the presence of current harmonics on transformer distribution effect on the magnitude of the decline in the value of power capacity. Based on the calculation on each transformer when THDi 8.2%, 22%, 7% and 15.5% THDF has value, 94.2%, 85.75%, 95.3% and 88.75%. The value of the installed power capacity into 2355 kVA, 2143.75 kVA, 2382.5 kVA and 1419.68 kVA due to decreased by 145 kVA (5.8%), 356.25 kVA (14.25%), 117.5 kVA (4.7%) and 180.32 kVA (11.27%). The larger the value of THDi (current) happens it will be the smaller the value of installed power (kVA) transformers or reduced rate power capacity attached to the transformer is getting bigger. Key words: Harmonic, THD current, Derating Sistem tenaga listrik di Indonesia di rancang untuk bekerja pada frekuensi 50 Hz, namun jenis beban tertentu yaitu beban nonlinier dapat mengakibatkan terbentuknya gelombang pada frekuensi tinggi yang merupakan kelipatan dari frekuensi fundamentalnya yang dikenal dengan harmonisa. Hal ini dapat mengganggu sistem kelistrikan, terutama pada transformator distribusi. Harmonisa arus mengakibatkan pemanasan pada bagian-bagian transformator, sehingga mengakibatkan peningkatan rugi-rugi dan penurunan efisiensi pada transformator yang berujung pada penurunan kapasitas daya (Derating). Berdasarkan data hasil pengukuran power quality dan perbandingan dengan standar IEEE 519-1992 maka pada transformator distribusi di Menara Kompas Jakarta untuk nilai THD arus nya melebihi standar yang di izinkan. Hal ini mengindikasikan keberadaan arus harmonisa pada transformator distribusi berpengaruh terhadap besarnya nilai penurunan kapasitas daya. Berdasarkan perhitungan pada masing – masing transformator saat THDi 8,2 %, 22 %, 7 %, dan 15,5 % memiliki nilai THDF 94,2 %, 85,75 %, 95,3 % dan 88,75 %. Maka nilai kapasitas daya terpasang menjadi 2355 kVA, 2143,75 kVA, 2382,5 kVA dan 1419,68 kVA karena mengalami penurunan sebesar 145 kVA (5,8 %), 356,25 kVA (14,25 %), 117,5 kVA (4,7%) dan 180,32 kVA (11,27 %). Semakin besar nilai THDi (arus) yang terjadi maka akan semakin kecil nilai daya terpasang (kVA baru) transformator atau tingkat penurunan kapasitas daya terpasang pada transformator tersebut semakin besar.
