Abstract

The development of social media is now more advanced, one of them is Youtube. Where it contains K-pop Music Videos from Korean idols which are usually also used to promote the latest songs from boyband or girband and even solo singers in Korea. Fans usually use k-pop music videos to learn Korean, so it's more interesting. This research was conducted to find out whether there was the effect of K-Pop music video shows on Youtube on the interest in learning Korean. The theory used is the Theory of Uses and Effect, this theory explains about the use of media and what causes it. This research uses a quantitative approach with explanatory research types. The method used is to use the survey method by distributing a purposive sampling questionnaire to the members of the Qorie Student Activity Unit at Multimedia Nusantara University as respondents. The results of the research, survey respondents Qorie Student Activity Unit Multimedia Nusantara University amounted to 13.5%, the influence of K-Pop Music Video shows on the interest in learning Korean language, the remaining 86.5% is another unknown factor, it can be concluded that there is a positive influence or significance. Because of the influence, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Keywords: Social Media, Youtube, Interest in Learning Korean Perkembangan media sosial saat ini semakin maju, salah satunya Youtube. Dimana berisikan Music Video K-pop dari idol Korea yang biasanya juga digunakan untuk mempromosikan lagu terbaru dari para boyband atau girband bahkan penyanyi solo di Korea. Penggemar biasanya menggunakan music video k-pop untuk belajar bahasa Korea, sehingga lebih menarik. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui adakah Pengaruh Tayangan Music Video K-Pop Di Youtube Terhadap Minat Belajar Bahasa Korea. Teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Uses and Effect, teori ini menjelaskan mengenai penggunaan media dan yang menyebabkannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan tipe penelitian eksplanatif. Metode yang digunakan adalah menggunakan metode survey dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner purposive sampling terhadap Anggota UKM Qorie Uuniversitas Multimedia Nusantara sebagai responden. Hasil dari penelitian survei responden Anggota UKM Qorie Universitas Multimedia Nusantara sebesar 13,5% adanya pengaruh tayangan Music Video KPop terhadap minat belajar bahasa Korea sisanya 86,5% merupakan faktor lain yang tidak diketahui, dapat disimpulkan adanya pengaruh positif atau signifikasi. Karena adanya pengaruh maka Ho di tolak dan Ha di terima. Kata kunci : Media Sosial, Youtube , Minat Belajar Bahasa Korea
