Abstract

Hangars used as a place for repairs, maintenance and maintenance of aircraft. Hangars can also help engineers and technicians in maintaining aircraft to avoid strong winds, rain, lightning strikes, etc. that can cause hazards when doing maintenance whether it affects the person or the aircraft. However, when the aircraft is putting in a hangar (towing), there is often a collision of aircraft wings regarding the hangar pole. As an effort to minimize the incident, an IoT-based distance detector designed to detect the safe distance between the hangar pole and the wing of the aircraft using an ultrasonic sensor and micro controller NodeMCU ESP8266, the sensor data obtained was then processed and sent via wireless and displayed to Blynk application. From the distance testing, 100 cm, 150 cm, and 200 cm, the average readings all have an error percentage below 2%. From the calculation of errors that have been made, the percentage of sensor readings at a distance of 100 cm is 0.25%, at a distance of 150 cm by 0.67%, and at a distance of 200 cm at 1.125%. . Keywords: Airplane Wing, Hangar, Blynk, Ultrasonic Sensor Hanggar digunakan sebagai sarana tempat untuk perbaikan, perawatan,dan pemeliharaan pesawat terbang. Hanggar juga dapat membantu engineer dan teknisi dalam melakukan perawatan pesawat terbang terhindar dari kuatnya angin, hujan, sambaran petir, dan lain lain yang dapat menimbulkan hazard saat melakukan perawatan baik itu berdampak pada orangnya ataupun pesawatnya. Namun demikian ketika pesawat yang diletakkan di hanggar atau biasa disebut towing, sering terjadi benturan sayap pesawat mengenai tiang hanggar. Sebagai salah satu upaya guna menimimalisir kejadian tersebut dirancang suatu alat pendeteksi jarak berbasis IoT yang diimplementasikan untuk mendeteksi jarak aman antara tiang hanggar dengan sayap pesawat dengan menggunakan sensor ultrasonik dan mikro kontroler NodeMCU ESP8266, data sensor yang didapat kemudian diproses dan dikirim via wireless dan ditampilkan ke aplikasi Blynk. Dari pengujian jarak yakni 100 cm, 150 cm, dan 200 cm didapat rata rata pembacaan yang semuanya memiliki persentase error dibawah 2 %. Dari perhitungan kesalahan yang telah dilakukan didapat persentase dari pembacaan sensor pada jarak 100 cm sebesar 0.25%, pada jarak 150 cm sebesar 0.67% , dan pada jarak 200 cm sebesar 1.125%.
