Abstract

The purpose of this research is to provide a depth overview of caregiver's close families emotional intelligent. This research is using qualitative method. Qualitative approach used in order to get in-depth information from every subject. Data collection method that being used in this research are observation and conducting interviews for each subject. The Subject of this research was the family caregiver. The result of this study showing that there are diffrences between each subject related their emotional intelligent. Changes of emotion can be seen in subject B. Subject B showing surprise feeling and hopeless when a family member being diagnose with schizophernia. However subject A wasnt feel the same, she capable to manage her feeling and emotion. Subject A wasn’t feel shame, sad, angry, confused at God. And subject C can accept the condition by the time Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran mendalam mengenai kecerdasaan emosi pada family caregiver.Penelitian ini menggunakan kualitatif. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk mendapatkan informasi mendalam dari setiap subyek. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara kepada setiap subyek. Dalam penelitian ini, subyek merupakan seorang family caregiver. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan adanya perbedaan kecerdasan emosi setiap subyek. Perubahaan emosi dapat terlihat pada subyek B. Bentuk emosi subyek B dengan perasaan kaget dan tidak ada harapan terjadi ketika salah satu keluarganya didiagnosa skizofrenia. Tetapi, subyek A tidak merasa demikian. Subyek A mampu mengatur perasaan dan emosinya, ketika salah satu dari keluarganya didiagnosa skizofrenia. Demikian, subyek A tidak merasa malu, sedih, marah, bingung kepada Tuhan. Sedangkan subject C mampu menerima seiring berjalan nya waktu.
